The KLEERLOK® feature was designed to be used in conjunction with TRILOBULAR™ fasteners in pre-tapped holes, which may be contaminated with weld splatter, paint, primer or other foreign matter. The KLEERLOK® feature can be combined on a POWERLOK® screw for paint clearing and locking torque.
KLEERTITE® fasteners combine the KLEERLOK® feature on a reduced out of round TRILOBULAR™ screw body for joints where a locking screw is not desired. When configured as such, the KLEERTITE® fastener can be used in a pre-tapped hole with little to no prevailing torque. In grounding attachments, TAPTITE 2000® fasteners are the preferred product.
